While stationed in Champaign-Urbana, IL, Elder Williams served as the “Youth Pastor” at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church. His work with the children was featured in the local newspaper.
While stationed at Wiesbaden, Germany, Elder Williams was challenged with the responsibility of combining several denominational beliefs into a single functioning church body. As the military liaison between civilian church leaders and their military counterpart, Elder Williams was able to strike a balance between denominational traditions and the policies and procedures of the United States Military.
Upon his retirement from the USAF in June of 1991, Elder Williams returned to Chicago and immediately involved himself in ministry and higher education. He became an Associate Minister at Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church and taught a Wednesday night Bible Study and a Men's class on Saturdays. He also was given the responsibility of heading the Illinois Baptist District Association Missionary Department in Chicago. In this position, he was responsible for the recruitment of local district churches that had no spiritual covering.
In his ministerial work at Sweet Holy Spirit Full Gospel Baptist Church, Elder Williams filled numerous positions. He served as the Church Administrator, 1st Assistant to Bishop Larry D. Trotter, Director of Operations, Presbyter of Elders’ Lead Servant and New Members Pastor.
In the spring of 2002, the Lord placed upon the heart of Elder Williams to hold Bible Studies in his home. From that beginning, the “Sons of God Ministries International" was born. He is an overseer and he assists struggling church pastors in developing strong programs for their leadership.
Dr. Williams released his Gospel CD, "WHY", in September 2012. On January 18, 2015, at 3:30 pm, he introduced the "Garden of Your Mind Radio Broadcast" to the listening audience of WYCA, 102.3 FM Radio. This broadcast has a national and an international listening audience. This broadcast is presently off of the air waves. Dr. Williams published his first book, "The Garden of your Mind" in December of 2015. He also has developed a training program for men to reengage and focus their live on fulfilling their assigned Kingdom Building Purpose. Dr. Williams is anointed to bring healing and deliverance to those who have experienced demonic oppression in their lives. He now host a Podcast, of the same name, that aids individuals toward seeing the power they have within themselves to bring spiritual healing to their lives. This Podcast will truly help you see where you are and where you are not in your relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Dr. Williams accepted his call to the ministry in 1981 at K.I. Sawyer Air Force. During his 20-year tenure as a member of the United States Air Force, Elder Williams was afforded many opportunities to minister. He has ministered the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the preached word and song in Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands. He organized “Dormitory Bible Studies” for the single men and women on base. Many souls were brought to Christ. Also, Pastor Williams was afforded the opportunity to organize and director "the Silver Falcon Choir made up of Airmen stationed at Chanute Air Base, IL. They were featured in the Local newspaper.
